Watching Eyes 3

Script by Virtual_Max.

This version of script was made as easy to install as possible.
Old version (eye2) of this script is here

Step 1.
Right-click on eash of the links below and choose "SaveAs" to obtain the files.
eye3.js
eyeballs.gif
eye.gif
Then upload the saved files to your server directory.

Step 2.
Open your HTML in any TEXT editor (like Notepad.exe), don't use HTML editors like FrontPage or others if you want scripts to work properly.
Find </head> tag in the HTML document source and copy only the red bold lines exactly before </head> tag as shown below.

<HTML>
<head>
  ... whatever you already have inside HEAD of document...
<script SRC="eye3.js">
/* Watching Eyes 2 script by Virtual_Max
 * This script can be used absolutely free until this
 * statement presents in all copies and derivatives unchanged.
 * Visit Virtual_Max's Cafe (http://come.to/vmax)
 * for latest version of this script and other cool
 * Java Applets and scripts.
 */
</script>
</head>
  .... the rest of your document is here ...

Step 3.
Find <BODY .... > tag of your  HTML document. Place only the lines which are in bold-green next to this tag as shown below
<body .... ... ...>
<script>
  setupeyes('http://www.geocitis.com/~virtual_max','eyeballs.gif','eye.gif');
</script>
 ... whatever you already have in your HTML is placed here ...
</body>
</html>

And That's All !

Customizing.
Changing the link and/or images can be done here:
setupeyes('linkToPage.html','yourEyeBalls.gif','YourEye.gif');
But keep the same sizes of your images as the originals if you are not able to find where to change those sizes.

You also can define initial X,Y coordinates as for example x=100, y=200 adding 2 more parameters..
setupeyes('linkToPage.html','yourEyeBalls.gif','YourEye.gif',100,200);

Last thing, you can make the eyes so that they will not follow the mouse, but only watch it with this code:
setupeyes('linkToPage.html','yourEyeBalls.gif','YourEye.gif',100,200,false);
